In an exciting new collaboration, The Home Depot store in Carmel Valley is bringing its famous Kids’ Workshop
to the Del Mar Harvest Festival this year, with voluntary donations benefiting
Operation Homefront!
Bring along a new board game to the Operation Homefront booth for donation to needy children of military families.
The Home Depot Kids’ Workshops
may include the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks, or other educational projects. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment.
Although the Kidzone Workshop will be free, suggested donations in any amount will benefit Operation Homefront,
a non-profit organization that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.
Bring your kids to The Home Depot booth at Del Mar this year and do some good while having fun!
Visit the Parcel Check and Shopping Bag Sales booth again this fall to meet some of our speedy doggy pals from
Greyhounds 2 Go Greyhound Adoptions, a local group dedicated to finding loving forever homes for retired racing greyhounds from the racetrack in Arizona. These beautiful and gentle animals retire at no more than 4 years old and make wonderful and loyal pets. They’ve been described as “45 mile-per-hour couch potatoes” and are remarkably low-maintenance. Greyhounds 2 Go carefully matches new owners with the perfect dog for them. Donations and proceeds from the Parcel Check and Shopping Bag Sales booth will benefit this wonderful non-profit organization.
The Del Mar Harvest Festival welcomes
San Diego Woodturners, who will once again be making their handmade wooden tops at their booth before your very eyes, in return for donations to the popular holiday
Marines Toys for Tots program. San Diego Woodturners is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing its members with ongoing education in woodturning regarding techniques, equipment, safety, and other items of interest, and benefiting the community.
